Does an S280 have a 2.8 litre engine?

Anybody got one of these and what has the running and normal costs been like? What was the original list cost of a mid nineties S class?

Is there anywhere where I can find original list price info for older Mercs?

the s280, w140 was always deemed to be slightly underpowered for the weight of the car, expect it to drink fuel,
