S class 2001 speedo not working after jump start

hello people, hope your all well.

as the title says speedo not lighting up rev/temp/fuel gage stuck, no light on speedometer side lights stay on even thou lights are off, parking sensors not working either all this caused by jump start, nothing was crossed while jump starting done so many times before (car doesn't get use much) never had any problem. any advice?

Looks like battery was dis-connected?
Try Dis-connect and re-connect battery 1st?

well apparently I've blown the speedometer while trying to jump start as it's a common fault.

Now I would like to repair it myself I did a some research it's one transmitter (black colour) which blows up, has anyone done it any link post any information on how to do it I have taken out the speedo,

speedo is blown for sure,the 5amp fuse is blown also the lights in speedo also not working it's common fault, I did replaced the fuse yesterday and gages worked until the fuse blown again but there was still no light on the speedo.
£125 on ebay to get it repair was under recall by Mercedes for cars upto 10 years old this is 2001 so over 10 years old.
