S class 320cdi 2002

Looking under my bonnet today while topping up washer fluid I noticed a gauge on the left hand side of the engine block which currently reads at 75%.
What the heck is it? It is not in my manual

air filter, it tells you when the filter needs cleaning or changing. you have 25% left.
