Yeah, i have a 2003 S-Class and i need the navigation up dvd. Mercedes want £205.00 for the software.

Does this mean that everything up to and including version 4.1 is OK for an 02 registered S Class?

I thought that the Comand DVD was only fitted in the S Class from sept 2003.
Before that the was the Comand system with the DX CD's.
I could be wrong.
Sure somebody will know on the forum.

My 2002 '02 S class came with the DX CD's.

I purchased a 2006 DX CD with Traffic Info (TMC) for my 2003 S Class from Tele Atlas 020 8230 3188 for £129.99. Works fine...

The 2002 S Class uses the CD based system, and I agree with Ethos, the 2006 CD DX from TeleAtlas is your best bet. £130 with TMC, and about £90 without, depending on what offer they have on at the time of ordering.
