S class lights won't go off

I've just had the instrument cluster on my S class changed, but the menu is different. On the new cluster there is on option for the lights to come on automatically and I've noted they now stay on all the time. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful for the feedback.

Agree with stumpy. Lights on automatically is one of the positions on the manual light switch - so it is an option but not via the menu.

I've checked the menu and in the "lighting" section", there is only "locator lighting - on/off", "Headlamps delayed switch off" - with various times, and "int. illumination" with various times, and that's it! Thanks for the reply,by the way.

Have you had the new instrument cluster set up on a star diagnostic? the auto option may be on permanently

Jolly clever these cars.

The good news is that, once you have set your preferences, you never have to change them.

The bad news is that if ever you do, you've got to learn all over again!
