Hi. My 1995 S Cass 3.2 has been laid up for about a year. I started it today, and the engine sounds fine, and it changes gear fine too. When accelerating there are no noises....but when I take my foot off the accelerater....so the engine is on overrun if thats what its called, then there is a loud noise like a stick in bicycle spokes !.....This noise stops when I accelerate again. There are no noises when revving the engine when stationary.....Any ideas please. thanks.

What area of the car do you think its coming from? If the engine is reved with the car stopped is the sound heard?

Thanks for your reply.
The noise seems to be coming from either the engine bay area, or maybe under the passenger side front half of the car. I know this might not be all that helpful.
The noise only happens when driving along without pressing the accelerator. If the acceleerator is pushed...ie the engine is pulling, there is no noise. Regards.
