Anyone out there got a propshaft in reasonable condition for a W220 S320 cdi?
The part number is A2204106806, I'm quite prepared to buy a new one but Mercedes haven't got one in stock, either here or in Germany, and it could be months before they will be able to supply one, so I'm looking for one I can get checked out, and re-balanced if necessary, by a specialist, so I can just have it swapped over.

Would that fit a W220?

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I don't think an E class one would fit, unless it's got the correct part number label on it of course.

Westheath, have you used those 2 firms you've linked to for repairing props? I've contacted both of them recently and neither of them were keen to rebuild it, citing problems with the Hardy Spicer joint as a problem. Something to do with being a press fit? I didn't argue with them, as they're the experts, but I've changed them in the past on other cars and never had a problem?

My local indy says there's wear in the splines on my one, so maybe no one is keen to fit a new set to the old prop?

Ebay? there's loads on there, but if it hasn't got the correct number it won't fit unfortunately.

No,much shorter wheelbase on the 210 (it will fit at the front or back possibly ) it's the bit in the middle that's missing... lol

Your local mb parts guy will be able to tell which models use the same prop shaft.
