S210 E320CDi Injector leak / spitting?

Hi

I am a newbie, so not sure as to the format of these forums. I have a s210 which looks like it has an injector (s) problem. It's noisy and seems to be spitting.

Any advice or ideas?

It looks like the injector seal has gone. It needs to be taken out and a new seal and bolt put in. The seat must be reground to make a perfect seal.

Is its standard practice to regrind the seal and will all mechanics know that?

Take it to someone who specialises in Mercedes or knows what they are doing, If they are sketchy about the repair, don't use them as it can become a big headache if not done properly. Some say the seats should be cut regardless, others say only if needed. A good clean sorted mine out but each to their own.
