Hi everyone.

Had the unfortunate news today that one of my rear alloy wheels is unrepairable. Had been getting a vibration through the steering wheel from around 60-65mph upwards so thought it best to have them looked at. Worst case scenario but at least the other three are ok. :) Still undecided as to what to do but will most likely try to replace the damaged alloy rather than replace all four but you never know. :)

Does anyone know what the correct offsets for both front and rear are please? And could anyone recommend/suggest alternative options that would suit the car perhaps?

The alloys are the AMG Type III version I'm led to believe. Pic below.

245/40zr 18 front

265/35zr 18 rear

You might get a single wheel from here

You can match the part number from the back of your existing wheel.

select out zero for fronts, and 1 for rear, comes out around £730. Not cheap, but probably less than a set of four aftermarket wheels

Ouch!

Many thanks, had a quick look at that company. Have also checked Ebay for a single alloy but haven't found the exact wheel yet. There's always hope.

Not sure of the correct offsets for replacements.

I looked at this thread but couldn't work out a definitive answer as the information on there clashed with the information from the allowheelsdirect website.

If the wheels you have are genuine articles the size and et will be cast on the back of them. If you go like for like it will be fine

Smart + others :)
Is it that far out of true that it can’t be straightened? Our local tyre place has the machine that straightens buckles.

Having seen what my local alloy wheel repairer can do I'd be surprised if it's unfixable.

Many thanks, wish I'd known that before they were removed the other day as I have serious back issues and it generally tends to play up when changing tyres.

Nice looking car though!
Thank you. Bought the car in March last year and due to restrictions it hasn't been used much until recently. Did 1000 miles total last year and have done another 1200 miles in the space of just two weeks. Knew there was a problem with an intermittent electric boot lock so had that replaced along with a parking sensor about a week ago. The vibration through the steering wheel has been there since I bought the car but due to timing and one thing or another I have only just got around to addressing the problem. A couple of headaches in quick succession but absolutely love the car so not as bad as it sounds. :)

Went to a local-ish place called Apex Wheels LTD in Gloucester and the chap said that it couldn't be repaired.

Fingers crossed that's the case.

You are sure he didn't just want to sell you a new wheel or wheels

I don't think that would have been their motive as they came across as genuine and didn't have anything suitable for the car. I honestly believe that they shared my pain. Nice people to deal with.
