S600 Amplifier and CD Multichanger

Hi,

Have just bought a 2001 (Y) S600L with the Bose music and rear TV, all is well except the Amplifier in the boot and the CD Multichanger in the boot are not working, Q are any of the aftermarket (pioneer, Kenwood etc) units compatable (with adaptor leads etc) or are they Merc only parts?

If Merc only ... excluding Merc where can I get them from second hand, I've looked on eBay / Autotrader!

Have you checked in the menu to see if the comand knows that they are there

Hi Malcolm,

The boot has in the past had water ingress and both items were / are water damaged so are totally trashed!

OK the main thing is that your system will be the D2b and what ever you buy they must be the same,, later cars use the MOST is this is not compatible. It may be possible to fix the amp, and the CD changers are on Ebay
