Strangely after today the 4 to 3 shift has been much improved. But it still dropped out. Gerrrrr.

If you look Inthe box there will be a serial number. The box type is the first 6 digits of the serial number. EG 722.6**

Yours is 722.649, however it needs to have the A221 part number on the housing for the selector module.

No, 7 ratios. 5 forward and 2 reverse.

I thought I'd read something about 2 reverse ratios - bizarre! How do you select them individually?

Winter/summer switch decides which reverse ratio to use, and also selects 2nd gear on takeoff.
