Use a wash mitt. If you want to go a bit madder, then use "the two bucket method", one for rinsing the mitt, and put grit guards in the buckets.

You now need Meguairs NXT2 polish ( purple bottle ) to polish out the scratches and finish the job properley--it will not need so severe a washing or rubbing to remove dirt afterwards either.

Nowt wrong with your Turtle wax ...... it's the sponge thats the problem ...... get a mitt, or a quality brush, and go for the 2 bucket method .............. Try polishing out the scrathes with a good polish 1st ............ like autoglym or the Megs products.

I also noticed scratches on my wife new c180 sport first time i washed it (driver's door) few of them!!!,
i took it to the dealer ,i believe car was delivered in that state very hard to see it in the show room when it was all polished up that was the reason i always was my new cars days after delivery to see what they covered up,i must stress this is not the first or second time it happened with me ,also different makes of cars !!!!

I find that a wet car washes much more easily than a dry one, so I now look stupid and wash my cars in the rain, its gets a free rinse afterwards and the cak that would otherwise be troublesome to remove tends to be nice and soft. I use a very small amount of the soft hand soap in a bottle that her majesty uses and one of the microporous cloths that aldi sell.

However, I do not think that I am as meticulous as some others with much newer and more valuable cars tend to be.
