Hello all!

This is my first post as I purchased a '00 model V220 CDI on Tuesday. I had to return it to the dealer yesterday, as there is a fault with the rear suspension (warning light on, RH corner sat on the lower stop).

It's HOPEFULLY being fixed as we speak, but does anyone know of a simple fault that might cause this? It might help if I ring them with a suggestion or two, & apparently, the local MB dealership are less than helpful...

The compressor runs, but isn't lifting the RH corner. The central locking module has been replaced as that was inop as well- perhaps the two faults are connected.

Is there anywhere I can download a system overview or schematic diagram?

In fact, is there any specific V-class stuff available on the web?

Hope it's fixed soon as I'm looking forward to driving it! It's certainly got more poke than the VW T4 it's replacing...

Many thanks in anticipation, A

Please be prepared for loads of problems the v-class is a real lemon.
Just search my posts to learn more!
The air suspension compressor in these models is prone to failure (£700 replacement) If tou have recently bought it from a dealer reject it walk away and breathe a sigh of relief.

sorry to be so negative I and many others have learned from bitter experience.

You need to really examine the motor and make sure everything you can get under warranty is checked out. There are loads of known problems with the V class, check everything out and have a good look on this site for the known problems. it is worth paying someone to check over the car too. By the way the last thing you do is take the word of an MB dealer. If something knocks, they will tell you they all do that or its designed to knock!! They will also not check or tell you if something is wrong until after warranty. They are not called stealerships for nothing.
