Sat Nav Command display

I have a 2006 (56) E280 CDI with command.

Is the route directions supposed to display on the screen in the centre of the speedo aswell as on the main screen?

I had an 2003 E270CDI that did display, however I keep getting told mixed things by Mercedes at Waltham Cross & Caterham (Who are both incompetent morons by the way)

Any ideas??

Yes press 3 times on the top left steering wheel button from the "home" speed/temp display
