Read somewhere if you hold the eject cd button on the dash for 15 seconds it does a reboot of the comand screen and system. I went out to try that this morning and before I got the chance it was work as it should. I don’t understand what has happened.
I must admit I was thinking here we go my warranty ran out last week.
However all good.

It can be a TFT display failure or the ribbon cable no longer making a decent connection to the board.

I know it’s too early to say it’s fixed. But I felt my sphincter tighten at the thought of a large bill from a dealer to sort the problem.

I certainly would not use a dealer for a failing screen (if it is that) a dealer would replace the entire unit and I could imagine that costing big big money.

The screens if i recollect are made by Toshiba and available. If you are handy as mentioned it will cost a fraction.
