Depends, do you have COMAND or Audio 20? What version of maps does it say you have?

If you have Ckmand, this is probably what you need but the guys at Comand Online can advise you. Otherwise, it’s a Becker Map Pilot and I don’t know what you can still get for that. Even with Comand, the last discs are for 2017/2018

Depends, if you can’t find where you’re going with your current maps then an upgrade could be warranted.
My SLK Comand maps probably date from somewhere between 2006 and 2008 - it’s never failed to get me where I need to go (I do ~15k a year in it) so I’ve never felt the need to upgrade the mapping.
Yes, there’s new roads not on it - a lot of the A1M - although with the mark 1 eyeball I’m fairly confident that I’m going in the right direction even though the road isn’t there in the nav.

Alternatively you could put the cost toward a good quality Android head unit (OEM look a like) and just have your phone maps / Waze etc on it
