That ****es me off. I can't stand rude people. How hard is it to put your
hand up just to say thanks?

Just read that on the annoying drivers thread, and it made me think about how when you are driving along and you spot someone you know, could be a really good friend, someone you've know for years, what greeting do they get? An index finger lifted from the steering wheel!

I think it's good old British stiff upper lipped unexcitability! Splendid!

You should try driving an old VW...

Other VW drivers all flash their lights and do the "hangloose" wave like this:

We all to that to each other at work!
Hang loose eh? We refer to it as the ROCK sign! It does confuse some people when it turns out not to be your mate after all!

I do wave to other w123 drivers, and they tend to wave back. Not too many of them on the road now.

I know mini drivers always flash, not sure about the new mini though.

The rock sign is the index and little fingers pointing straight out with the middle and ring fingers curled up. If the music really rocks you need both hands with all fingers curled except the two little fingers - Too much rock for one hand....
