The glass polish as sold by "Frost" works very well,you only need the small packet as it last a long time.

You do need a power polisher with a foam head, the figure of 8 oscillating types are the best as the rotary ones send it everywhere

do power tools have to be used, or a good bit of elbow grease could do the job:D

That would be very hard work, even if you could,,the little sanders that go to a point on the bed are good and cost under £10

Yes that would do,, a battery drill would not be fast enough, and it would have to be mains powered.

another product available is jewllars rouge, this will however require elbow grease, but it works

A rotary buffer is used with jewellers rouge and it does around 120 rpm !
the wheel has to be soaked with water when in use else it will make more scratches..
Excessive use in one area will put a dip in the glass as it grinds it away but the glass will remain perfectly clear.
As stated in previous post, it can be used with a water soaked cloth and elbow grease but will take a while.

They were counterfeit!
Genuine elbow grease is very hard to find these days.
