Hi I have a 300SEL 6.3 ( chassis 109018 22 00 1675 ) that originally came from the UK.Sold new in 1969 From Walton Motors,Oyster lane Byfleet ,Surrey.
I am keen to track it's history before it was transported to the colonies...Brisbane, Australia.I am in the process of returning it to it's original colour of Blue grey metalic.
Any help would be appreciated !!!

Is there a particular department i should direct my enquiries too?.I also understand there is a website that they have where you can search using the rego number, but in my case the plates have dissapeared decades ago.I'll google up their name tonight and see how i go,

Hi Ron.
The dept. to contact is Fee Paying Inquiries, DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AJ, UK.
The fee involved is £5(GB), and they do ask for a Reg. No. However they may be able to trace the records with some other vehicle details, such as Chassis No. or the like.
A telephone number you can try for help is 0870 240 0010 (Customer Enquiries Group).
Good luck, Tom.
