Seat Belt Alarm

The car has just recently started "pinging" occasionally to tell me my seatbelt isn't fastened - when it is? It's very random and sometimes will just ping once and then disappear.

I'm suspecting a loose connection somewhere? Would squirting some WD40 into the mechanism help or does anyone have any experience or advice?

I agree ... maybe even a broken wire if the seat is frequently moved for different drivers

I'd lift the seat to it's highest position then check the connectors underneath
