I have recently suffered a seat belt pretensioner, (SBP), not recoiling in my W209 SLK320 Coupe of 2003 which has now been replaced by another which looks identical to the one removed in all aspects; it functions perfectly.
However this has produced a fault in the instrumentations logic which now states that I have one 'SRS' issue. I am presuming, as it wasn't there before replacement SBP., that this issue is all due to replacement which I have checked and rechecked for correct fitting which brings me to the question:
Are the pretensioners used in the W209's handed by internal difference and or electrical circuitry and could I therefore have fit an inappropriate hand?
