Hi all,

After an embarrasing trip to the local Mercedes dealer about my seatbelt warning alarm coming on whilst driving, (put my briefcase on the passenger seat!), is there a way of switching the b****y thing off? I really just don't need to be reminded to do what I always do anyway. Is there a fuse or jumper setting somewhere I can remove or toggle to get rid of this nuisance.

I'm beginning to feel I've got the Tony Blair of cars.

Thanks
Lulu

Have you tried leaving the seat belt coupled up, that should stop it.

Hi Malcolm,

Already thought of that, but it's not really satisfactory enough. I just want to be able to forget it, and not be troubled by it again.

There is nothing else that you can do, you could always get a manikin, belt her in and put the things on her lap.

Can you not put your case in the footwell instead?

I personally dont like loose things on the the passenger seat (apart from this blonde I went out with once but thats another story...)

A bit of sharp braking and everything ends up in the footwell anyway...

You're right, I'm approaching this whole thing from the wrong angle.
A bit of lateral thought and it's obvious.........give up work and I don't need to put the briefcase on the passenger seat. In fact, don't need the briefcase at all. I'm off down the beach, anyone coming?

****** hell, my beach towel has just set the seat belt alarm off!

I live by the sea, and hardly ever walk along the beach, sad life I lead.
