My 200cdi coupe 2004, has a problem with the passenger seat belt warning light coming on and bleeping at me, the indicator is presuming someone's sat in the seat when noone actually is, so i have to put the sealt belt into its buckle to shut the damn thing up. Incidentally when i do this the passenger airbag light on the centre of dashboard lights up to say air bag off. Help...... any ideas or have you heard of this before, what do i do. Thank you.

Hello and welcome :D:D Yes this is a common problem and is usually a loose connection under the seat on the connecting plugs.. if the warning lamp comes on permanently this can only be removed on STAR after the fault has been fixed

Thank you both for that reply i will check the seat underneath for any obvious connector issues and also the buckle, presumably i will be able to test the buckle by removing it and fitting on the drivers side to see if the same occurs? Yours in appreciation - Mark in Hull.
