I fell in love with the (older) 500 SEL when i saw one properly a few years ago. I bought a 84 SEC 500 couple of days a go and was excited from the moment i got in it.

Couple of things which i missed on initial viewing of vehicle. I am not technically aufait so bear with me. When putting into reverse theres a strong kickback after a couple of seconds which moves the car back a little no matter how hard i hold the break (usually when parking in tight spaces).

I also noticed the revs pick up quite a lot when in park mode after usually coming to a complete stop but not when in driving mode.

Is this something to worry about?

Also the seller told me that the AC is leaking and has given me a replacement unit which looks like a little radiator. Do u know what this is?
