Hi. Apologies in advance if this question is in totally the wrong forum.
We live in Australia & recently purchased a bus to convert to a motorhome. It is a 1999 Merced Benz Starliner bus, OH1630 series.
We are having some electrical issues which are difficult to diagnose without a fuse box diagram. Wondering if anyone can tell me where we might access one.
Thanks
Mike

Mike tall order mate i searched for 2 hours for you ,i can find very little information on your Starliner .What i have in my box of tricks is go to this site and navigate to Naoplan in the chart thats shows up on the web site . You can ask questions on the right side of the page . google this -
https://bus-manuals.jimdoefree.com/neoplan/neoplan. Its the closest i could find for you the net is void of bus and coach info .Good luck. 484175_4579585050165_1459706160_n.jpg

Thank you so much for spending the time trying to find something. I have also spent many hours on google with little progress. I will try the site you have suggested.
Thanks again for your efforts
Cheers

A long shot I know, but I wonder if a local ish (if there is such a thing in Australia) bus company workshop could help out?

The blinkers have stopped blinking,
Thanks.
The first thing with light circuits is to clean the earth contacts. The current circuit is only complete when it goes to the chassis. There are various places where the earth contacts are located.

I was hoping to be able to locate the issue myself. Otherwise, yes, that will be my last option.

Ok, thanks. All of the other lights are working, just not the blinkers. Is there anyway for me to know where the earth contacts would be located? Would a wiring diagram show me that?

On German cars, the colour of the earth wire is BROWN.
So, for example, from the rear light cluster you can follow the brown wire to the earthing point.

Thanks so much. I'll give that a go
So, is there somewhere I could access a wiring diagram?

I do not have access to a wiring diagram.
Do the blinkers work when you press the hazard warning light switch..?

No, and hazard lights / school bus lights don't work either.

....., I have replaced the flasher unit but still no blink.
If possible, please put up a picture of this flasher unit, especially showing the colours of the wires connected to it.

Wires look to be blue / purple, yellow / brown, & green, white & grey striped.
I have removed the blinker housing. Appear to have power coming in (1) but no power going out (2)

Thank you so much for the photos.
Would you believe it, saw a merc bus with a driver under training, so ran along it to see where the blinkers are. There were more than I expected, but that is explained by how long a bus is as compared to a car.
Anyway, the brown wire with what is called a tracer wire, yellow in this case, is the one to complete the circuit via the ground. Now, with a spare wire connected to this yellow/brown, and the other end rubbed against a good metal of the chassis, do the blinkers work...?
I have never worked on a bus electrical. I am a bit scared about the mention of 24 V on the flasher unit case. Do you know why it is 24V and not 12V.
By the way, where are the school bus lights located..?
