Hi, what are the best options for selling a car.

I have opted for a Company car, a fully specced Honda Hybrid because it actually stacks up really well with all the concessions for car and fuel allowances as a Co. car.

Where though is the best place to sell one of my Mercs?

Both my cars are religiously maintained. I have been offered silly prices as a trade in.

There are far too many 'bargain' vehicles out there for you NOT to be offered 'silly prices' for your MB no matter where you advertise it. Everyone is looking out for a bargain. They are certainly not looking to pay top whack, especially in this economic climate....!!

Buy a car cover, declare a SORN, change your car insurance and KEEP your MB.

Yep, as Jez says, its a buyers market and not just for cars. People are so money aware at the moment they want deals on everything. I was offered just below book for my bike by a dealer who I know retails them at least double that figure. If you must sell the MB try and go private. Be interested to hear if you can get a good deal on a hybrid at the moment.

I would try autotrader on the net . My daughter just sold a 320 E class in lancs and someone came from Birmingham to buy it She had to drop price quite a bit but she got over auction price without paying auction commission. For a good guide price ring up a local car auction with details and ask for a guide price ., Then advertise higher to negotiate.
As a last resort if your car does not sell you could auction with a reserve price .

Hi,
Ebay worked for me. If you use Ebay make sure you give a really good description and show plenty of photos. You can fix a reserve price which gives peace of mind and always check the history of your bidders.
