Service advisory Blocked bulkhead drain

Just been advised that my Bulkhead drains are blocked on E Class Cabriolet E220 CDI SE.

Is this something that I can resolve myself or will I need to book the car in for Mercedes to sort out.

Just clear all the gunk from the scuttle panel at the bottom of the front windscreen, hoover out the debris if possible.

Ensure water poured into the windscreen does not pool and drains properly.

You have now saved yourself £85

exactly, follow that !! there likely times you need intervention ,this aint one of them ...

I wish I'd known the scuttle drains on EmilysMum's Citroen were blocked ..... if only Citroen hadn't thought to hide 1 of the 3 out of sight under the wiper mechanism

We didn’t they unblock them at service. It’s done foc with us.

Because then they can charge for expensive module replacement because of water damage...

I’ll mention it to them. Cars due back so I’ll attempt to unblock them myself. Thanks for the info

It does - especially as it's usually a 5 minute job.

Buy yourself a length of net curtain wire, say about 1.5 - 2 metres.
You can then use that to thread down the drain channels in various places and with a little water it will clean them out.
