Hello,

Irish Mercedes owner here.

Service B indicator flashed up this morning so I plan to get the car in for a service.

I had planned to book it in with MSL Park Service Centre but am hearing horror stories about MSL!

Would anyone recommend a good service centre?

Also, ball park figure for what I should expect to pay for Service B and what gets serviced?

Thanks.

I've just paid £195 for a B service on my SL500. Check service book for all the things they do but mine included plugs (16), oil, fan belt and a few other minor bits that I've forgotten about. Plus a good check over and highlighted a few things that will need sorting over the next year or so (I do very little mileage).

Is that in the UK?

I will be getting mine serviced in Ireland. Will consider Northern Ireland if anyone recommends service centre close to the border.

I would imagine the price for my service will be alot higher over here in Ireland unfortunately. Even during the recession!

Well c'est la vie. I guess other things are cheaper over there.

Just got home and checked invoice. It was £295 not £195, sorry my mistake. But it did include all the parts: engine air filters, oils, plugs, fan belt, wiper blade, pollen filter and a few other bits and bobs.

£295 = €331

I'd be very surprised if I get my service done for that price!

That was parts and labour?
