Service differences ( A,B and C )

Hi, does anybody know what the difference's are on the services.... if it can be narrowed down its for a W203.

Took mine to a Indy and he told me that instead of doing a B service he could if i wanted do the cheaper A service and stamp it as a B as theres not much more involved in the B service..... just got me thinking, what is the service manifest on these cars ???

A is an oil change and a quick glance over. B is a wheels off more thorough inspection. They tend to change more filters etc on a B too. These days there is no C. It just alternates between A and B irrespective of what the computer says.

I'd not be happy with a B stamped as a A. Not an indy I'd trust, though I'm sure he thought he was doing you a favour, it displays a level of dishonesty that would make me uncomfortable. If there really is nothing in it, why doesn't he do a B for the same price as an A? - The answer is very simple and should serve to answer your question into the bargain.

That was my initial thought..... but i must admit i have took my car there a couple of times with suspected faults and they have been good and honest enough to tell me the car had these very minor faults but didnt need any imediate parts replacing or work doing, i think he was just trying to do me a favour as a few things need doing when it goes in but those were his words ( not much more work involved on a B service ).
Im with you on the stamp issue too... not very honest for the next prospective buyer of my car... even if i have maintained it well
