Hi All and thanks for accepting me.
My A Class 180D needs an A service and 3 additional items ( Brake fluid, Air and fuel filter). My MB dealer would like £552.67 plus they can't do it for nearly 2 weeks. I can get the lot done for much less at a local well respected non MB garage who will use genuine parts and can update the online service record, also they can do it next week.
The only thing bothering me about using the local garage is the car is covered by MB extended warranty and the wording below in the MB extended warranty hand book which says you have to use a MB garage. I know that this type of restrictive practice has been outlawed as far as new car warranties are concerned but are such restrictions still lawful for extended warranties?
