shell super diesel

anyone tried this ? the garage near me has it. its 99.9p litre against 94.9 for std diesel. its meant to give better performance etc. i filled up with it few days back... it may have made a slight difference ... the main thing i noticed is the engine has more diesel knock which i'm hoping is the fuel as i noticed it was more diesel sounding yesterday & today. shaun

I have used the fuel, it is £1.03 in the South, cannot say I have heard more of a diesel knock though, although am convinced car runs smoother

I've used Shell V-Power in Europe previously and my W210 loved it. I almost exclusively use Shell and so far in my new one have a 100% Shell fill up record.

The main advantage of these super fuels is the detergents. I've personally never found the car to run better or improve economy but it should keep the injectors etc in good condition so I use it every 4 fill ups.
