shortened wheel nuts on sl (107)

Does anyone know anything about 15hole flat face alloy wheels being fitted with reduced length wheel nuts? I`ve heard it now from a couple of different people that it is now recommended for safety! It does mean that the head of the nut would no longer be visible.

The long 7cm bolts were stopped from MB about 3 years ago, so with the new ones you cant see the head unless you look in the hole
