Should I buy new CLS with 19’ or 20’ alloys?

I am planning to buy a new CLS in Hyacinth Red and am uncertain which alloy wheel to buy. Both the 19’ and 20’ look good but I marginally prefer the look of the 20’ alloys. However, I’m worried whether this will affect the ride quality and if so to what degree. I’m buying the car with Air Body Control suspension. Any advice would be warmly welcomed

Used to have a C63...
On a CLS, especially with air suspension, I probably wouldn't worry too much. If you do considerable distance/mileage, 19s may be better bet for both comfort, road noise & tyre costs.

I'd be more wary of the paint colour... MB don't enjoy a good track record with red paint!

Welcome!

The new CLS is based on the E class W213 ‘trolley’ and running gear so in answer to your wheel size dilemma either size will be ok especially with air suspension. My son has a W213 E class with 20in alloy wheels with standard steel coil suspension and the ride is very good indeed in fact I was amazed how good it is MB have worked wonders

Hyacinth Red hasn't had any bad reports I have read about. Fire Opal Red is the one to avoid.
I love the Hyacinth Red and I almost bought this

Get one with a couple thousand miles on it and save yourself a few dollars. Also the 20s look killer.

I'm not a fan of red usually, but that looks brilliant on the right car.
I still regret missing that E63S:(
Maybe he'll change his mind again. :)

If you hit a pothole with 20's on , make sure your tongue isn't between your teeth  . Stay at 19's

EXACTLY this.

We aren’t driving around on German or French quality roads here.
