Should soft top roof look like this

We cleaned the top of our car on the weekend as we had noticed the water wasn't settling in droplets. It seemed to clean up okay and as soon as it was dry we put the stuff on that waterproofs it. We took the car for a drive in the hope that it would help it dry off quicker as rain was forecast overnight

This morning the roof was soaked and the water wasn't settling in droplets, but not sure if that was just because it had been pouring down for hours. I've just taken a picture of the roof and although it's now dry there seem to be lines, which I guess are where the metal supports of the roof are. I can't remember if they were there when we got the car or not. Does it look okay
