shut-off solenoid on c250td

    C250TD JUNE 1999
    Hi I have a 1999 c250td, and have found that the shut-off solenoid is leaking - the diesel seems to be coming from the plastic body of the solenoid. Can you tell me if it is best just to change the full thing or just the o ring or rings? Also, if you change the full thing, do you need to reprogramme it when you fit it?

    Just a simple "o" ring to replace, two torx bolts to undo, its that easy....

    This should be it 29 is the shut off valve, and nothing to program

    And number 32 is the "O" ring.........

    o ring

    make sure you lubricate the O ring well before putting it back on or it might not seat quite right
