Hello All,

I have only just realised that my side mirror has been knocked by some of the kids while having snow fight and now it wont stay on the positions and keep on moving forward and backward.

Its automatic and can be closed with button but it seems like its not clicked in as if i close it, i can still move it back out all the way whereas the driver side is not moveable.

Does anyone know if this is a common fault and how to fix it. I hope its not a new Mirror mechanism as the glass and the whole plastic bit are still instact and i cannot see any damage. Surely like most cars, you should be able to just click it back to the position its meant to go.

Regards

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
Normally by holding the mirror switch in one direction or the other it will pick up the locking point and re set
