C180 Coupe Sports Edition 2005
Hi everyone, I have got a 2005 Mercedes C180 Coupe Sports Edition. These don't have the buttons to automatically open and close the side mirrors and I would have thought I would be able to close this manual (with my hands) but when I do this, they just pop back out.

My question(s) is:

1. Is that the way its supposed to be?

2. Is there a way to make them close automatically?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

1. Yes

2. Only by retro-fitting the electric folding mirrors, loom and switch, plus STAR coding

Thank you for you very quick response. Do you know how big a job this is and if it is worth me doing at all.

I forgot to include the possibility of needing different door control modules

Not a hugely difficult job, as retro-fits go but not cheap. One door mirror frame alone is ~£300. Why not ask the dealer for a quote (for comparison purposes!) then try a couple of Indies..

Is it worth it? Only you can answer that one!

Thank you very much for your help. I don't think I will bother with it. I just didn't think they'd purposely take away both options to fold the mirrors.
