Sidelight LED's

Had a set on the car when I gought it. Nearside failed, three sets of LED'S meant to work with MB and they come on then go out with faults on the dash. Replaced with halogens for now. Any ideas?

Yes... don't use LED's. ... (They almost always give an error)

I tried numerous different LED's on my S204, all failed fairly quickly. My suspicion is that the sidelight housings are pretty small hence the LED's overheat and fail. I went back to normal bulbs and they've worked fine.

I fitted some Canbus compatible LEDs and had the same problem, load resistors required. I cheated and fitted a bulb holder in parallel with the existing ones and used the old bulbs as load resistors. Works a treat and if an LED fails the old bulbs are there to swap in.
