SL 320 Boot lid brake lamp help please!

Hi

Can anyone help please? I have a SL 320 R129 model and need to replace the boot lid LED light unit. Can anyone tell me how I can remove the existing unit.

Not sure but on my clk its just clipped in behind the boot lid felt

You've probably checked this, but.......the most common fault with these is broken wiring, where it passes from the body to the boot lid, inside a sheath clipped to the hinge.
If you do have to replace the whole unit, you need to remove the trim inside the boot lid.
If it's just the lens that needs replacing, it is possible to clip it in carefully from outside, without dismantling the whole thing.
