Hi

I know I have only recently bought an E Class 400 AMG, but finding it too big and not looking sporty enough.

Looking at a SL350 as always loved them. Year I am looking at is 2014 onwards what should I be looking at.

Can you tell me what the engine it is.

Thanks

I don't think a SL350 will be much small (external dimensions) than your E class (about 100mm L & W)

i think the sl350 has a lot going for it ....far less likely to be getting dragged up the car transporter... 400, never really looked into it, suspect its nice ,but even more electronic crap to drag you back to the dealers ect.

SL is shorter (3") but wider (4") than an E Coupe

I think the SL350 is high tax , and the SL400 is more in the "normal" cost range because of the newer engine

swings/roundabouts ,save a bit of road tax ,spend on more euro 5/6/7 whatever kit thats supposed to save the planet.questionable and sure dont save yr wallet..my ml 250 is 200 to tax seems grand ,but a couple of nox sensors or crappy blutec bits will soon cost me shedloads more than tax saving . and the green/carbon cost of all the fitted plastic crap will be what ? i broke a little w168 for bits last yr .3 trips to the tip with all the plastic i got out of it. !

The engine is the bit wot pushes the wheels round and makes a broom broom noise :D
Apart from that it’s the M276 in the R231 which in 2014 on it will be...
