Hi,
Cured both the leaky windscreen and cleared the heater drains, but the roof leaks from the top of the windscreen, assume the hard roof seals are gone,
are they...
Obtainable?
difficult to change?
Any temporary fixes?
Thanks
Malc

rub some vaseline on the rubber

ooh-err. That might just freshen them up a bit. You can get them from Forest Fine, SLS, or good old MB. Hold your breath though at the bill.

All you do is to takes off the strip under the front edge of the roof and put a mastic sealer between the roof and strip, do not over tighten as you will squeeze it all out.MB say its more towards the ends, rather than the middle, 6" from the ends
Do not try the power hood when testing, use the hand key, the strip has to be put back quite tight. Take care that there are no loose screws that will damage the top of window.

You can get a fair idea where it is leaking by using a feeler gauge, if you cant get it in slacken the top locks slightly.
