New to sl driving with my 1981 380.

There seems to be a rather vicious take up when I first start the car and put it in reverse. I've just checked the ATF levels and they're fine. I do have a loose gravel drive and was thinking that that may be the problem as it's much better on normal tarmac.

Does anyone know the reason why.

all seem to clunk and jerk a bit when you put them into R, just make sure you have your foot on the brake when doing so. It's probably just a mileage thing.
