SL320, 15amp Fuse No.10?

The 15amp fuse (No.10) on my SL320 keeps blowing - but only when I put my foot on the brake. I have removed the brake light bulbs (except the the one on the boot) and it still blows. If anyone can tell me how you remove the stop light on the boot it will help me but also if anyone has any idea why the fuse keeps blowing, I would like some advice.

I take it she is a 129, if so, i had the same fault a couple of weeks ago, turned out to be the 3rd brake wires had rubbed thro, its in the wiring where the wires join the boot lid!! pull down the hinge trim on the off side, not saying this is your fault, but somewhere to start!

Mine was exactly as S-A-M / U-N-I-T described.
Touch the brake and blow the fuse. If you remove the cover that is clipped to the hinge, you will probably find at least one of the wires broken. If you are nifty [and lucky!], you may be able to splice in a new length of wire, without removing the boot lid inner trim. The wire needs to be very flexible. Don't just go up in gauge, it will be too stiff and quickly break again.
If you decide to rewire all the way to the light unit, you will need to remove the inner trim and get at it from behind.
