I leave the car outside and it doesnt get used very often. I am getting a lot of window condensation, windscreen and rear in the main. I am using 2 car style dehumidifyers and they do seem to be working very well.

I get a wet drivers seat when i open the drivers door, but no sign of water ingress anywhere else.

Any ideas or can somebody please point me to related posts.

    Many thanks,
    Tim.

Hi, I recently had the same iisues, this is the thread below, hope you have it sorted as even after clearing the drain, I still get condensation on the front and back winscreens but no where as bad as it used to be and I also got one of them bags from ebay that you put on the dashboard.

This can be a common problem on the 230, it is the roof and boot seals at the rear that is causing this.

I have done a DIY on this and you will find it in the DIY section.

it is the plate under the rear window and the seals on C pillar each side where water will go down the out side and and com up on the inside, they must be sealed well on both sides.

I saw at our recent meet where all the SLs on display (10) had this problem

Thank you both for the link and advise.

How do i find your post in DIY please Television? Are you talking aout the post between the windows and when you talk about the rear window do you mean the side rear windows or the back screen (window) Sorry!

What would you put on the rubber to help seal it up over the winter and do i need to put the roof down to get to the seal?

Car starts and goes into gear without any problems after new ignition part fitted.

    Kind regards,
    Tim.
