i have just been 'offered' a 'new' 5 speed box for the car
As the car is a 1995 model i have the 4 speed box the good news is that this working fine within its paramerters of course - is the 5 speed box a self contained unit? and if so is it a straight swap for the 4 speed one? Obviously the gear selector mech is different
The question i am asking i suppose is that does the 5 speed box use an ecu or somthing external to the box and not fitted to my 4 speed model - plus of course if there are significant differences would this be a possible upgrade or even a sensible upgrade.
