SL500 Replacement Speakers

I need to replace the speaker in the passenger door of my R230 model SL.

Will I need to remove the door panel or can the plastic grille over the speaker be prised off?

When you are doing this its good to have a box the same height as the bottom of the door so that you can rest the door card on it, this will mean that you do not have to remove the handle cable.

When putting it back, have someone holding the outside of the door as you need to push it in as you slide the car back on so that it engages in the mid way clip

Ah - Malcolm - could I have this too please - there's something banging inside my drivers door when I close it with the window down.

When you lever off from the top the triangle cover the captive clip will come out also, lever off the captive bit and push it back into the oblong slot, If you drop it in the door its easier to buy a new one.

When putting the card back on do have the window down so that you can squeeze the outer and inner panels at the top while you push the card in and down, have someone standing outside to take the strain.

You can lift the foam flap to get to the door switch connectors
