SL500 Window Problem

I have an 1999(T) SL500. the driver side window drops about half an inch as you open the door, when shutting the door it pops back up again into the seal as it should.

The passenger door does not do this the window just stays up and the door slams into the seal stressing the glass.

When I open the door the window does try to go down but sort of jams.

Any advice you guys could give would be very helpful.

Sounds as if the window needs some use to free it up. Does it travel up and down as normal?

Yes it travels up and down without any resistance
