After 2 bumps in as many days I will replace at least 1 of them ... :(

They do not last long then, I did not open the boot that much but all cars hate the boot open in my driveway;)

I suspect I am using this daily more than you did ;) ... I think the fact that when it rains the extra , minimal , weight of the water on the lid is enough to drop it down on my bonce....

My SL boot lid has become a bit droopy. Where is the best place to buy replacement struts ? I am assuming OEM versions are available without going through the main dealer ?

At £13 each new it will hardly break the bank though... How much to regas a strut?

well the Mercedes ones Malc fitted lasted 2 years ..these have a 2 year warranty ...so the down side is what? I might have to invoke the warranty??? sometimes you KNOW what you are paying for ;)

it's filed away in a very cold outside cabin ...i will visit it on Monday when i turn it;s heating on to work from it...
