E933C0E7-79E6-45F0-8D05-F6361FCACE18.jpeg I bought mine believing it to be an F1. It has all the spec that is mentioned above and is not restricted. Unsure now if it is a genuine F1

The Evo article gives some details. Sounds like it should have engine and drivetrain upgrades as well as trim and gadgets

Hello everyone, well after checking the VIN number; I can happily confirm my car came with the F1 performance package. :)
That's good news! Easy to check these genuine cars when you know how (although best to do before you buy- hindsight is a wonderful thing :) ). When we looked a couple of years ago two cars we looked at being described as F1's by dealers were nothing of the sort, but they wouldn't listen that they were being wrongly described. One sold but was soon back at the dealer presumably when the new owner found out he had been conned. Usually replicas have a poor quality repro or just badly altered front bumpers and wrong wheels and an "F1" badge on the back. The owners never seem to bother with the uprated front brakes, presumably because of the cost. At least you can rest easy now. What made you doubt the car was authentic?

Comments on here about false claims. The guy I bought it from assured me it was genuine car with a performance package. but had no proof. However when I was looking for a Sl55, I did not know about the F1. It was only after I saw this car and bought it I really found out about the breed.

You would have paid a premium for an F1 unless you got a bargain. Love the car.

I paid top money for her considering she was 11years old when I bought her

Age is irrelevant, condition much more important.

Also you can never pay too much, you just bought it too early :D
