Hello all,
Thought I'd drop in and introduce myself as I've been browsing this site for the past few weeks. A couple of weeks ago, as an early Xmas present, I bought myself a 52 plate SL55 AMG. What a phenomenal piece of kit. The sound of the thing, with the non-standard exhaust system it has fitted, is magnificent. As a small but notable addition, the car used to be owned by a Mr David Coulthard when he used to race for McLaren Mercedes.
Anyway hope to get to 'virtually' get to know you all over the coming months.
Thanks.

Cheers guys - appreciate the welcome. Those old Pagodas are wonderful aren't they - so uncluttered compared with many of todays cars.

That could be true,, I see in this months magazine that Coulthard had the 113 re built at the MB heritage center in Germany while he worked for Mercedes

Unfortunately DC didn't own it directly before me - it's had a few owners since him. Hopefully they've looked after it though (touches wood)

I discovered that mine had a fridge the other day in the central armrest. I put my phone in there thinking it was just useful storage space and it came out nicely chilled - almost stuck to my ear when I used it ;). Was this an extra or is it normal?
